Für viele Menschen beginnt diese Gefahr jedoch nicht erst auf dem Mittelmeer.
Auf ihrer Flucht durch Libyen haben manche bereits Gewalt, Gefangenschaft und schwere Ausbeutung erlebt. Schutzsuchende werden ihrer Freiheit und ihrer Würde beraubt, ausgebeutet und teilweise wie Ware behandelt.
Unter ihnen sind Kinder und Familien.
Wer es bis an die Küste und auf ein Boot schafft, hat die Gefahr noch nicht hinter sich. In überfüllten und nicht seetüchtigen Booten kann aus der Hoffnung auf Sicherheit innerhalb weniger Augenblicke ein Kampf ums Überleben werden.
Dann zählt nur eines:
Dass jemand kommt.
Dass Rettungsteams Menschen aus akuter Lebensgefahr holen.
Dass Kinder und Familien an Bord Schutz und Versorgung erhalten.
Dass nach Kälte wieder Wärme spürbar wird – und aus Angst wenigstens für einen Moment Sicherheit werden kann.

We cannot reimburse or pre-finance the organisation or implementation of your fundraising campaign. Small donations are also very welcome. If you first cover your own expenses, such as a flea-market stall fee, and then donate the remaining proceeds or part of them, that is great too.
