Every idea counts.
Yours too.

You want to do something against the current feeling of political powerlessness, but wonder: “What can I actually do?” Join in. Every idea counts. Every fundraising campaign makes a difference. Whether as a local community, neighbourhood group, private person, school or company. Whether for your birthday, a summer party or simply because you care. It does not take much when many people come together. Together we stand up for civil sea rescue.

Your fundraising campaign directly supports sea rescue!

To protect as many people as possible from drowning, reliable and strong support from civil society is essential. Where governments fail and do not live up to their responsibility, we step in. And now you can too. Thank you for being part of it.

In a world that is becoming increasingly isolated by the day and leaving people in need at its gates, it is more important than ever to stand up for the fundamental rights of every human being. Every donation to Sea Eye directly helps to save lives in places where people now prefer to look the other way.

Anyone who pretends that the AfD can be stopped by letting people drown is engaging in exactly the same inhumane policies as the party itself.

If a CDU government doesn’t even support sea rescue anymore, I don’t understand where the ‘C’ in its name comes from.

Especially now, when humanitarian aid in the Mediterranean is coming under increasing pressure, support from the general public is more important than ever. Together, we can help Sea-Eye uphold humanity and save lives.

FAQs

Your donation saves lives. It goes directly to Sea-Eye e.V., an organisation for civil sea rescue. Sea rescue is still carried by civil society. Sea-Eye goes where Europe looks away and closes itself off. Every euro helps us run missions, protect lives and make the humanitarian crisis in the Mediterranean visible.

No. Listing your campaign and using the provided texts, image material and other resources is free of charge. Costs may arise from your own activity itself. We cannot reimburse or pre-finance the organisation or implementation of your fundraising campaign. Small donations are also very welcome. If you first cover your own expenses, such as a flea-market stall fee, and then donate the remaining proceeds or part of them, that is great too. To generate more donations, we recommend displaying the Sea-Eye x YOU posters at your activity and telling people about your campaign.

Once you have started a campaign on this website, you will automatically see different ways to share it. This helps you gain supporters and draw attention to your campaign. If you want to share your idea before launching and motivate others to join in, take a look at Tips & Tricks. We have collected message ideas and arguments that may fit you and your idea.

Every euro raised saves lives. If your fundraising goal is exceeded, that is wonderful: it means more missions can be carried out and more people can receive help.

If fewer donations come in, the money raised still helps. Every contribution makes a difference. Just as important are the stories, your commitment and the lived solidarity we are showing together this summer.
