Hello everyone!

I wanted to put an idea out there: how about connecting our [club activity / next tournament / summer party] this year with a small fundraising campaign?

I came across the »Sea-Eye × YOU« campaign. People all over Germany are organizing their own activities for humanity and lived solidarity. The idea behind it: when many people take part, even small contributions can make a big difference.

Sea-Eye e.V. rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean. The donations raised go directly into this important work. Our [football tournament / club party] could very easily become part of the campaign this way - without much additional effort for us.

What do you think? I would be happy if we could briefly discuss the idea. Who would be interested?

Hey dear all!

I came across the »Sea-Eye × YOU« summer campaign and immediately thought of us. 😊

The idea behind it: people all over Germany organize small activities to make solidarity visible and collect donations for Sea-Eye's work. Sea-Eye e.V. rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean, and the donation proceeds go directly into this important work. Together, the campaign wants to show that many small actions can achieve something big.

How about joining in? For example with a [shared-apartment party / flea market / charity run] where we collect donations together. I think it would be easy to organize and a lovely way to make a concrete difference.
What do you think? Who would like to be part of it?

Hi everyone!

Quick question for the group: have you heard about the »Sea-Eye × YOU« summer campaign?

The idea is for as many people as possible across Germany to organize their own solidarity activities this summer and send a signal for humanity. Because when many people take action, many small activities can come together to create major change.

Sea-Eye e.V. rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean, and the donations raised go directly into this important work. I think this fits very well with the values and concerns we stand up for as a group.

I would like to organize a [information event / solidarity activity / street stall] as part of the campaign and collect donations for civilian sea rescue. What do you think? Would you be interested in organizing something together? I would be happy if we could briefly discuss the idea.

Hey everyone!

I have an idea for how we could end the school year with a great activity:
As part of »Sea-Eye × YOU«, we as a class or student council can organize our own fundraising campaign for humanity - for example a waffle sale, a school concert, or a donation appeal.

The idea of the summer campaign is to show together that many small actions can achieve something big.

The donations raised go directly to Sea-Eye e.V., which rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean.

With our activity, we could support this important work in a very concrete way. Would you like to take part? And who would have time to plan the activity together?

Hey everyone!

I have an idea for something we could support together this semester:
With »Sea-Eye × YOU«, we can organize our own fundraising campaign for humanity - for example a waffle sale, a football tournament, or by combining our summer party with a donation collection.

The summer campaign shows how much can be achieved when many people take action: many small activities come together to create something big. The donations go directly to Sea-Eye e.V., which rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean.

Our [summer party / football tournament] could very easily become a solidarity activity this way - without much extra effort, but with real impact.

What do you think of the idea? Would anyone like to plan this together with me?

Hello dear team!

I wanted to put an idea out there for something we could do together this summer as a team - or maybe even as a company, practice, or department.

I came across the »Sea-Eye × YOU« summer campaign. People all over Germany organize their own small activities for humanity and lived solidarity. The idea behind it: when many people join in, many small contributions can create big changes together. Every activity can be designed individually and can often be organized without much effort.

The donations raised go to Sea-Eye e.V., which rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean and provides humanitarian aid.

For us, I could imagine, for example, a donation appeal in the office, waiting room, or on social media, a joint charity run, or a solidarity product whose proceeds are donated in August.
What do you think? Would anyone like to join in or maybe contribute their own ideas?

I would be happy if we could create something together.

Hey neighbors,

A quick question for the group:
Would we like to take action together this summer?

I came across the »Sea-Eye × YOU« summer campaign. People all over Germany organize small activities for humanity and lived solidarity. The idea: when many people take part, many small activities can create big things together.

The donations raised go to Sea-Eye e.V., which rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean. With a joint activity, we could support this important work and at the same time create something lovely for our house community and neighborhood.

I was thinking, for example, of a courtyard flea market or a small courtyard festival with a donation share. That way, we could come together, meet new people, and do something good at the same time.

Who would be in? And does anyone already have ideas or feel like helping with the organization?

Hello dear team at [name of cafe],

I am a big fan of your cafe and always enjoy spending time with you. That is why I wanted to share an idea with you that might be a good fit.

Recently, I came across the »Sea-Eye × YOU« summer campaign. People all over Germany organize small activities for humanity and lived solidarity. The idea behind it: when many people take part, many small contributions can create big things together.

The donations raised go to Sea-Eye e.V., which rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean. This turns a simple activity into concrete support for an important humanitarian task.

As a cafe, you have created a special place for people to meet - so I thought you might like to become part of the campaign. One option could be a solidarity drink over the summer, where part of the proceeds are donated to Sea-Eye, or an action day on which the proceeds from a certain drink or product are donated. Of course, there are many other possibilities - whatever fits best with you and your cafe.

I would be very happy if you find the idea interesting. If support with communication, promotion, or organization would be helpful, I would be glad to help.

Best wishes

Hello dear team at [name of restaurant],

I am a regular guest at your restaurant and always enjoy coming back. That is why I wanted to share an idea with you that might be a good fit.

Recently, I came across the »Sea-Eye × YOU« summer campaign. People all over Germany organize their own activities for humanity and lived solidarity. The idea behind it: when many people take part, many small contributions can create big things together.

The donations raised go to Sea-Eye e.V., which rescues people in distress at sea in the central Mediterranean. This turns a simple activity into very concrete support for an important humanitarian task.

That is why I wondered whether you could imagine becoming part of the campaign. For example with a solidarity dish or a special drink on your menu, where part of the proceeds are donated to Sea-Eye. Another option would be an action day on which the proceeds from a particular dish or dessert are donated. Of course, many other ideas are possible too - whatever fits best with your restaurant and your concept.

I would be very happy if you find the idea interesting and take part. If support with communication, promotion, or organization would be helpful, I would be glad to help.

Thank you very much for your time and best wishes

Matching donation campaigns

Do you know a great company? Would companies in your town probably support your campaign? Or maybe your school's alumni association? With a matching donation campaign, your fundraising campaign can help twice as much.

You can find a cover letter and an explanation of how it can work here:

You look for a local actor who would like to support your commitment. To do this, you go directly to the branch, write an email or letter, and ask whether they would like to match the donation proceeds. The more personal the contact, the more promising it usually is. In exchange, you agree on an amount up to which the matching campaign will run. In other words, up to 500 euros in proceeds from the local festival, for example, would be matched by the company, alumni association, etc.

Think about which actors are active locally. This could be the local bank branch that has supported social projects before, but also a retailer that wants to support regional activities or social associations. Please keep in mind that many actors can only be flexible to a limited extent in terms of timing, so it is best to ask several weeks in advance.

Feel free to use our template and adapt it individually to your situation.

Subject: My campaign for humanity - will you join in and match the donations?

Hello dear team at [name],

My name is [name] and I live here in [place]. This summer I am taking part in »Sea-Eye × YOU« - Our summer. Your campaign. Together for humanity: a summer campaign by Sea-Eye e.V., an organization for civilian sea rescue. Together we stand up for humanity and solidarity. All proceeds go directly to Sea-Eye and save lives in the Mediterranean.

Specifically, I am organizing a [campaign: flea market / solidarity concert / charity run] in [place / district] on [date] and collecting donations directly for Sea-Eye.

My idea: could you imagine matching the donation proceeds from my campaign? That would mean that what people here in [place] give has twice the impact. I think it would be a wonderful sign from us here locally in support of human rights.

I would be very happy to hear back from you! You can reach me at [email] or [phone number].
Warm regards, [name]
