Fr 7.8 18:00 CET
Sa: 8.8 10:00 CET
So. 9.8 10:00 CET

Live Yoga with Suma Thero & “Bodhi” Buxbaum from the Sri Vijayaramaya Temple, Sri Lanka

Join the upcoming live Zoom yoga sessions led by the Buddhist priest and yogi Suma Thero, together with his student “Bodhi” Buxbaum.

A series of fortunate coincidences brought Deichkind’s Buddy Buxbaum to this beautiful mountain temple in Kosgoda, led by Sumangala Thero. Not only is he a Buddhist meditation teacher and yoga instructor, but he also speaks German, having surprisingly spent several extended periods of time in Buddy’s hometown of Bergedorf near Hamburg. Now, the two of them would like to contribute from Sri Lanka by sharing this special experience with you.

Discover practices that gradually bring your body and mind into greater peace and balance—so that you never have to question whether helping people fleeing hardship is the right thing to do. If you are able, please donate whatever you can to support and sustain Sea-Eye’s humanitarian search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean. Every euro helps reduce suffering and protects or saves lives.

You can join the Zoom sessions on the following dates:

Fri, Aug 7 – 6:00 PM CET
Sat, Aug 8 – 10:00 AM CET
Sun, Aug 9 – 10:00 AM CET

You'll receive all the information you need to join the session in the thank-you email sent after your donation.

All you need is a little space, comfortable clothing, and a positive attitude—the rest will flow naturally. :)

Frequently asked questions

Your donation saves lives. It goes directly to Sea-Eye e.V., an organisation for civil sea rescue. Sea rescue is still carried by civil society. Sea-Eye goes where Europe looks away and closes itself off. Every euro helps us run missions, protect lives and make the humanitarian crisis in the Mediterranean visible.

No. Listing your campaign and using the provided texts, image material and other resources is free of charge. Costs may arise from your own activity itself. We cannot reimburse or pre-finance the organisation or implementation of your fundraising campaign. Small donations are also very welcome. If you first cover your own expenses, such as a flea-market stall fee, and then donate the remaining proceeds or part of them, that is great too. To generate more donations, we recommend displaying the Sea-Eye x YOU posters at your activity and telling people about your campaign.

Once you have started a campaign on this website, you will automatically see different ways to share it. This helps you gain supporters and draw attention to your campaign. If you want to share your idea before launching and motivate others to join in, take a look at Tips & Tricks. We have collected message ideas and arguments that may fit you and your idea.

Every euro raised saves lives. If your fundraising goal is exceeded, that is wonderful: it means more missions can be carried out and more people can receive help.
If fewer donations come in, the money raised still helps. Every contribution makes a difference. Just as important are the stories, your commitment and the lived solidarity we are showing together this summer.
